Nahargarh’s Royalty amid nature reviewed in Discover India

Live like kings amidst acres of wildlife and pristine nature when you are at Nahargarh

It is one thing to build a grand, luxurious hotel and quite another to breathe life into it. At Nahargarh, Ranthambore, Thakur Gaj Singh (the owner) has done just that. Nestled five minutes away from Ranthambore National park, Nahargarh is an experience in itself.

Built 11 years ago, this 68 room boutique luxury hotel embodies the best of the Mughal and Rajput architecture. Nahargarh is an ideal place to stay to explore the national park, the Ranthambore Fort and the ganesha Temple within the park boundaries.

Catering to a variety of palates, the quality of food is reason enough to make you return. The chefs here are handpicked. Each chef employed at Nahargarh first works in Thakur Gaj Singh’s Kitchen. No surprise, then, that the hotel bakes fresh bread daily, and mostly uses vegetables from its kitchen garden. Guests can also make use of other facilities at Nahargarh like the conference room, a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and a spa called Tatva. It is not only the facilities that make this hotel a great property, its architecture and the backdrop of the Aravalli ranges have seen it become a hot spot for destination Weddings. Ensuring that each guest has a wonderful stay, the management organizes candlelight dinners under the chhatris (especially for newlyweds) or romantic tete-a-tetes over coffee in the wild (around the hotel) after a drive in vintage Jeeps.

Having said that, it is the ambiance of Nahargarh that sets it apart from other Hotels. It is easy to get lost in thought here while sitting by the pool. And if you are lucky, you will have that rare, almost dream-like experience when the moonlight shines through the trees and bathes the hotel. It is a sight to behold and a memory that lingers on. What also makes Nahargarh stand out is the fact that it’s someone’s home.
