Line up of Performing Artists for Magnetic Fields Festival at Alsisar Mahal revealed
The line up of artists for the new Magnetic Fields Festival to hold court at the princely Alsisar Mahal in Shekhawati Rajasthan from December 13-15 has been announced.
Taking primo spot right now in the lineup is Berlin producer Robot Koch, who’s playing in India for the first time. Koch definitely has some serious fans in the country and they’ll want to travel to the festival to catch him in all of Alsisar Mahal’s majesty.
Koch isn’t the only great producer to feature at MFF in its first year. London dubstep producer V.I.V.E.K. will also feature (his first show in India), along with touring regulars and d ‘n’ b barons Shiva Soundsystem. This first wave of names to feature at MFF also includes the Midival Punditz, and if you’re thinking about the lack of guitars here, Shaa’ir + Func will be in attendance, Delhi’s Peter Cat Recording Co. too, Frame/Frame (in a band avatar), psychedelic rock band The Bicycle Days, and more.
Check out the Magnetic Fields Festival lineup revealed thus far below.
So far, MFF looks like an excellent trip away to catch some great, cutting-edge electronic and organic music over its three days in December, and also just as importantly, to soak in the relaxed, very intimate atmosphere. Tickets to the getaway will be limited to just 500 in number and you’ve got a choice to live in the palace or camp out (probably within the palace’s premises). Early plans also dictate that mornings at Magnetic Fields will begin with yoga sessions on the lawn, and the festival will have a lot of local food and art to sample.
See You There…..
