Gangaur Festival celebrated at Alsisar Mahal

The festival of Lord Shiva and Parwati – Gangaur, on which married women fast and perform holy rituals for the happiness of their marital life and single women fast to find their Mr Right, kicked off in all its glory in Rajasthan. Every year a special programme and pooja is organized at Alsisar Mahal- Shekhawati.
The Gangaur festival at Alsisar Mahal kicked off with much fanfare. The Palace, surrounded by lush greenery was buzzing with people all around who turned up in droves to celebrate. Gauri pooja was performed by the members of Alsisar Family followed by cultural evening and dinner.
Cultural Performances
Rajasthani folk music was played by the local artists and admired by the foreign guests of Alsisar Mahal. Vibrant lighting work, colourful fountains and fireworks made the celebrations more spectacular. Folk artistes also presented an extravaganza of regional dance forms.
The celebration of Gangaur Festival at Alsisar Mahal was an event full of fanfare and activities, which kept the participants and guests in a joyful frame of mind, eager to enjoy every moment.
